CEC tours Khous, Namsuru to inspect flood prone zones
Kargil, August 03, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today conducted a tour of Khous and Namsuru to inspect the flood-prone areas of Tazithang and Tserchet Nallah in Namsuru.
During his visit, the CEC informed villagers that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) amounting to approximately 16 crores has been prepared under the Special Development Plan (SDP) and expressed hope for its sanctioning at the earliest.
The village representatives expressed gratitude to CEC and district officers for their on-ground inspections and raised concerns regarding construction of primary schools and a hospital.
Councillor Parkachik; Incharge SDM, Sankoo; BDO, Sankoo; Exn PHE I&FC; Exn Mechanical, beside other officials accompanied the CEC during the tour.
In response, the CEC urged the villagers to identify feasible land for these projects and assured them necessary action.
In addition, Dr Akhoon visited Police Check Post Sankoo to explore the installation of a fire station. He took assessment of accommodation and space for a fire brigade truck. He was accompanied by Incharge SDM, Sankoo and Incharge Police Station, Sankoo.
