Commissioner/Secretary, H&ME Ladakh calls on CEC Kargil at Council Secretariat
Kargil, Nov 20, 2023: Dr Vasanthakumar Namasivayam, Commissioner/Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Union Territory Ladakh called on Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon at Council Secretariat LAHDC Kargil today.
Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Director Health Services UT Ladakh, Chief Medical Officer Kargil, & Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kargil were also present.
The overall health scenario in the district along with the works being executed under the Health Sector was discussed in detail. The shortage of doctors in District Kargil came under discussion and starting of DNB courses in the District Hospital Kargil, on which the Commissioner /Secretary Health assured to addressed the same in near future.
The CEC took the matter for the establishment of Urban PHC at old District Hospital premises keeping in view the far location of the New District Hospital. The Commissioner/Secretary Health assured that the Urban PHC shall be established and start its functioning shortly.
The CEC also took the matter of augmentation of infrastructure, machinery and equipment in District Hospital Kargil and grant of equal share to the district Kargil in health sector.
