Councillor Silmoo chairs meeting with BDO Soth, Engineering Staff of Rural Engineering Wing to review achievement of works executed under different schemes

 

Kargil, Nov 16, 2023: Feroz Ahmed Khan, Councillor Silmoo today held a meeting with Block Development Officer Soth and Engineering Staff of Rural Engineering Wing to review the physical & financial achievement of Works being executed under different schemes in Silmoo Constituency.

 

The Councillor was informed that three (03) works, out of four (04) works being executed under District Capex, have been completed while one (01) work under District Capex is under the tendering process.

 

Under CCDA Thirty-one (31) works were identified out of which work is going on in case of twenty (20) works, seven (07) works have been completed while the remaining works are under allotment/tendering process.

 

The Councillor was also informed that two (02) works stand completed under the LAHDC Untied Grants while one (01) work under State Sector Budget was at tendering stage. Under the Special Development Package, out of fifteen (15) works one (01) has been completed while four (04) works are under tendering process and the rest of works have been allotted.

 

Further, the Councillor inquired about the footpath at Sharchey being constructed under the Grant in Aid, the officials informed that Rs Twelve (12 lakhs) have been spent till date.

 

The Councillor instructed the BDO to depute a team to the site to check the quality of the work & to ensure that no further payment is made till the work is completed and resolution is received from villagers. Further, the Councillor directed that funds must be utilized before the current financial year and that there should be no compromise with the quality of work.
