DC Kargil chairs meeting to discuss submitted grievances to LG Office

Kargil, July 05, 2023: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting in his office chamber to discuss the issues and grievances by various delegations submitted to Lieutenant Governor (LG) Ladakh during his visit to Kargil.

Project Officer Wages/ACD, SE PHE and I&FC, SE PWD (R&B), Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Account Officer to DC, Coordinator, Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA) and representative of Education Department attended the meeting.

During the meeting, a thorough discussion was held on various demands and issues such as the lift irrigation at Chuliskamboo which is approved under the SDP.

The ACD informed the DC that the department has approved the pump house and anchored channel under Grant in Aid of PRI with an estimate of Rs 16 lakh and execution of work is in full swing and 90 percent of which is completed.

The ACD also informed about the submitted DPRs of concrete fencing around school at Gomorjuk, stonewalling to the boundary wall Photang, His Holiness Residence Bodh Kharboo, Nunnery Gonpa, Foot Bridge at village Tsong Dho Mangmore, Khangral over Kanji Nallah.

He was also informed about the lift irrigation and Solar Water Lifting Project of KREDA at Batalik proposed by the departments.

At the outset, the CMO Kargil informed the DC that upgradation of Health and Wellness Centre Chanigund, Chuliskamboo, Apati, opening of new H&WSC at Skiangkung, Broqlungma, Wakha, manpower at CHC, Medical Centre at Malikbar Umba, upgradation of medical sub-center Sangrah, revitalizing of CHC, Sankoo, proposals submitted to DHS, UT Ladakh.

He further added that hiring of Staff Nurses, lab technicians on outsourcing for FY 2023-2024 is under process. The recruitment of dental technicians and grievances of dental surgeons working in Ladakh were also discussed in the meeting.

During the meeting, the DC also apprised about the upgradation of High School to Higher Secondary, introduction of new subjects at Higher Secondary School Chanigund, besides other issues were discussed thoroughly.

The DC Kargil directed the SE PWD to prepare an estimate for the underpass subway for Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh and also directed the concerned department to prioritize beneficiary-oriented schemes to relevant beneficiaries without any delay.
