DC Kargil reviews functioning of I&FC, Agri and Horticulture Departments 

Directs immediate restorations works in the flash flood affected areas

Kargil, July 21, 2023: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today chaired a meeting of district officers in his Office Chamber to discuss the progress of developmental works under District Capex 2023-24 pertaining to Irrigation & Flood Control, Agriculture, Horticulture and Command Area Development Kargil.

SE, PHE, I&FC, Kargil, Maqbool Hussain, Chief Planning Officer, Kargil, Abdul Hadi, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer/Deputy Director Command Area Development Kargil and concerned executive agency were present in the meeting

During the meeting, SE, PHE, I&FC, CHO, and CAO presented the detailed status of ongoing and new works, the physical and financial progress achieved under the District Capex.

While reviewing of works under flood control, DC directed SE Hydraulics to ensure restorations of flood control structures and Nallah diversion works on urgent basis in the areas affected by flash floods in last two days.

DC Kargil directed concerned officers to expedite pending DPR preparations and AAs in order to speed up new works. DC Shrikant directed all the officers to ensure completion of ongoing developmental works at the earliest and stressed on executing agencies to achieve maximum achievement under District Capex.

Discussions were also held on the ongoing works of the Horticulture and Agriculture Departments.
