DC Kargil Shrikant Suse reviews status of Jal Jeevan Mission works

Kargil, July 17, 2023: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today convened a meeting of concerned officers in his Office Chamber to review the status of works under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Hadi, Superintending Engineer, PHE, Maqbool Husain, Executive Engineer, PHE, Mohammed Hassan Lone, AEEs, JEs, Nodal Officer, besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.

The DC was informed about the status of work progress achieved block-wise and village-wise. District Kargil has achieved 75% saturation so far and 32 villages has achieved 100 % saturation.

Status of village wise physical works, progress of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), status of water testing labs, social audit report, physical verification report, pending tenders and allotment of works were discussed during meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that every effort should to be made to ensure that the goal of tap water to all households is achieved as per the timelines.

He also directed to increase IEC activities across the villages to ensure community participation in the monitoring of the projects.
