The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve convened a meeting with ALTOA and Hotel Association to review the proposals for opening of new circuits in Leh District at VC Room, DC Office, Leh, today on September 12.
During the meeting, executive members of ALTOA and Hotel Association apprised the DC about the new circuits such as Hanle to Tsomoriri via Kyun Tso, Chamser Lungser circuit and other routes that needs to be open. They also informed the DC about the routes that are open but are not allowed to enter by ITBP or Army and requested to open such routes. Further, they also discussed about the condition of the old routes which need maintainace.
DC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve directed ALTOA and Hotel Association to make a detailed requisition of all the routes that needs to be open to propose it further. He also instructed the executive members to make a requisition for restoration of old routes and maintainace of those routes which are in dilapidated situation.
Furthermore, issues such as office space for ALTOA, toilet facilities at important tourist points and private hospital facility for foreign tourist were also discussed during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Director Tourism and Executive members from ALTOA and Hotel Association.
