DC Leh reviews progress on JJM works in Leh District

Leh, July 17: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Leh/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhdev convened a meeting to review the progress of works under the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme in Leh district at DC mini Conference Hall.

DC Leh enquired and reviewed the work progress on all JJM projects in the blocks and sub-divisions of Leh district from the concerned PHE officials. He directed the concerned departments to expedite the works and resolve the issues related to manpower and procurement of adhar details at the earliest so that the work is completed on time. Further, he impressed upon District Superintending Engineer, PWD Leh, to clear the pending detailed project reports and also instructed to speed up work on the projects to complete them before July 31st.

DC directed SE PHE to ensure regular monitoring of works on the ground and act against defaulters if found in terms of quality of works that are being executed.

PHE officials apprised DC about physical progress on various JJM projects such as schedule for special status of grey water management, grievance portal details, Har Ghar Jal certification, financial progress, etc.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer (CPO); Superintending Engineer (SE), PHE; executive engineers from different wings of the PHE Department, and members of Implementation Support Agency (ISA).
