DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chairs district-level Aadhaar monitoring committee meeting

 

Leh, August 5: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting of District-Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee to review the status of Aadhaar enrolment and to strengthen Aadhaar seeding at DC mini Conference Hall.

 

Deputy Commissioner, Leh emphasised on improving Adhar saturation of children between the age group of 0-5 years and directed the concerned officers in providing proper data to conduct awareness camps on the basis of Anganwadi centers.

 

He also directed the members to organise on-demand awareness camps in all the panchayats and exhorted upon the concerned departments to provide age-wise population data in order to conduct proper enrollment of the left-out population.

 

Further, he urged the committee members to work towards increasing awareness about the benefits of Aadhaar and to address any grievances or complaints related to its implementation.

 

Earlier, Assistant Manager, UIDAI, Leh, Stanzin Dhonsal briefed the meeting with a detailed report of the ongoing Aadhar enrolment camps and the status of overall live Aadhaar enrolment in the district under various age groups.

 

DC Leh was further informed about the camps that were conducted for mandatory enrolment and biometrics updation held in different schools.

 

The meeting was attended by SP Leh; District Panchayat Officer; Chief Medical Officer; Chief Education Officer; Zonal Head, J&K Bank; Manager, India Post Payment Bank Leh, and others.
