DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chairs meeting to review status of JJM projects in district

 

Leh, August 31: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting of PHE officials to review the status of work with regard to Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) projects in the district at the DC mini Conference Hall.

 

The DC inquired and reviewed the work progress on all JJM projects in the district including physical and financial progress, quality of work, functional tap connections, and other related works in various villages of Leh, Nubra, Durbuk, Nyoma, Khaltse sub-division.

 

The officials apprised the Deputy Commissioner about physical progress on various JJM projects in all over the district as well as issues regarding pending works.

 

The DC instructed to speed up work in the pending villages with minor issues/disputes and directed the officials to complete them before the winter season.

 

He directed the subordinate staff to be present at designated stations at all times and also visit and inspect the projects on time and submit the report. He further directed the officials to coordinate with the concerned SDMs and resolve any issues/disputes of adhar collection, land issues, etc.

 

Additionally, directions were given to ADDC to monitor the work by paying frequent visits to the sites in person along with concerned tehsildars and the whole team.

 

Superintending Engineer, Hydraulics; Additional District Development Commissioner Leh; Chief Planning Officer Leh; Executive Engineer PHE Leh; and other officials of the PHE Department attended the meeting.
