DC Santosh Sukhadeve reviews implementation of RDD works in Kargil

Stresses for time bound completion of works, creation of durable assets for benefit of general population

KARGIL, OCTOBER11, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve convened a meeting of the concerned officers of Rural Development Department (RDD) to take stock of the progress under PMAY(G), MGNREGA, SBM (G), other schemes, Grey Water Management besides physical and financial progress achieved in case of different works under the Capex Budget and SDP and State Sector Budget here today.

Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kargil Ghulam Muhammad, Chief Planning Officer(CPO) Kargi Abdul Hadi, Executive Engineer REW Gulzar Hussain Munshi, District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Padma Angmo, Block Development Officers (BDOs) besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.

During the course of the meeting, ACD Kargil apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the various targets besides the physical and financial achievements registered so far under various schemes including the Capex Budget, SDP, NRLM, MGNREGA, IWMP, State Sector, monthly progress report under Swatchh Bharat Mission and PMAY-G.

DC Santosh Sukhadeve directed the concerned officers to work in tandem and close coordination with the public representatives, PRI members and villagers so as to ensure effective implementation of the welfare schemes on ground for benefit of the general population. He also stressed on creation of durable assets while strictly adhering to quality parameters.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed that issues and bottlenecks with regard to developmental works should be resolved on priority so that deserving people can avail maximum benefits of the developmental works and welfare schemes. He also urged the concerned officers to adopt an empathetic and humane approach while dealing with public issues, adding he said that the RDD personnel have a greater responsibility to address people’s issues as they work on the grassroots level.

Meanwhile, DC Santosh Sukhadeve while stressing on proper implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission works directed the concerned officers to utilize all resources for successful implementation and completion of the scheme within the stipulated timelines.
