Director RD&PRD chairs review meeting regarding status of on-going works in Kargil

Kargil, Oct 12, 2023: Director Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (RD&PRD), UT Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi on Wednesday chaired a review meeting regarding the on-going developmental works under RD&PRD and progress under SDP and State Sector schemes.

Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kargil, Ghulam Muhammad, Executive Engineer REW, Shabir Hussain, BDO Sankoo, BDOs, Panchayat Inspectors and other concerned officials attended the meeting.

Detailed discussions and deliberations were held block-wise regarding the on-going developmental works in the district under RD&PRD. The concerned officers apprised the director about the status of on-going developmental works under different schemes.

The Director sought details about physical and financial progress under SDP and State Sector schemes and reviewed block wise status of various developmental works in Kargil.

Zubdavi also reviewed the expenditure status of on-going works and billing status. He directed the concerned officials to resolve the issues and remove bottlenecks, if any, on priority so that execution of works isn’t delayed.

He instructed the concerned BDOs to present the weekly status of all ongoing works. He said the remaining DPRs should be prepared at the earliest adding that all developmental activities to be uploaded on Panchayat Development Index portal.

The director also suggested holding monthly review meetings with BDOs to build coordination with each other besides remain updated about the monthly progress of developmental works in their respective areas.

He instructed all the stakeholders to make future plans with proper consultation within the framework of guidelines and follow the guidelines accordingly.
