District Police Leh arrested a drug peddler and recovered 136 grams of Charas.

21 August, 2023: In its relentless pursuit to combat the scourge of drug abuse in society, the District Police Leh achieved another significant breakthrough by arresting one person involved in drug peddling and recovering contraband substance from his possession.

 

On the evening of 20th August 2023, a police patrolling party from Police Post Housing Colony, Leh apprehended one Mukarram S/O Masom Ali R/O Dhaki Dehradun at Skara road near Zorawar Fort and recovered 136 grams of charas-like substance from his possession. Accordingly, case FIR No 142/2023, under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Leh.

District Police Leh is consistently making efforts to apprehend the peddlers involved in drug cartels.

The District Police Leh earnestly appeals to the general public to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers and to join hands with Ladakh Police in the fight against the menace of drug abuse in the district.
