District Police Leh arrested a drug peddler, recovered different varieties of Contraband substances

Leh, 15th April:

District Police Leh continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, today arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.

A police party of Police Post Housing Colony Leh while conducting random Naka checking at Airport road, industrial area, Leh, has apprehended a suspicious person carrying a black colour backpack. Upon checking the bag the police party recovered the following contraband substances, Spasmo Proxyvon Plus 335 capsules, 52 small packets of brown sugar like substances weighing 7gm and 10 small packets of Ganja like substances from the possession of the suspicious person namely Tsewang Namgyal @Mota S/O Tsering Angchuk R/O Thoksa Skara Leh. In this connection case FIR No 49/2023 under relevant section of Law has been registered at Police Station Leh. Further investigation about links of other persons involvement is being ascertain.
