EC Mubarak Shah visits under-construction hospital building at Kurbathang

Kargil, August 22, 2022: Executive Councillor Works, LAHDC, Kargil Mubarak Shah Naqvi today visited the under-construction 300-bedded hospital building at Kurbathang to assess the pace of undergoing works.

CMO Kargil Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, Executive Engineers of PWD and Mechanical Division, Medical Superintendent DH Kargil, Nodal Officer 300-bedded District Hospital and other concerned officials accompanied the EC during the visit.

The EC enquired from the concerned officials about the requirements and modifications needed for establishing the hospital.

Naqvi visited various departments at the new building and inspected its feasibility. The concerned officials apprised him that the right wing of the building is almost ready and can accommodate 100 beds. He was further informed that around 80 percent of works on the hospital building have been completed.

The EC instructed the concerned officers to complete the physical works of the building at the earliest in order to make it functional for providing health care services.

Naqvi said elevator, electric and mechanical works should be completed at the earliest besides the blacktopping of surface and link roads leading to the hospital.

He was informed that the central heating works will be completed within 3 days and efforts are on for the speedy completion of the hospital building.
