EC Tashi inspects developmental works in Zanskar
Kargil, October 20, 2022:
Executive Councilor for Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, LAHDC, Kargil, Er Phunchok Tashi on Wednesday inspected the construction site of Chazar Irrigation Channel, Cremation Ground Muskit Chumik and the main charging source of Water Supply Scheme of Padum Town and adjacent villages under JJM.
He was accompanied with AEE, JEs of Hydraulic and R&B Division Zanskar in order to monitor and expedite the ongoing works. EC Tashi was also accompanied by Sarpanch and Panch of Padum Panchayat halqa while inspecting the work under JJM.
Tashi express satisfaction on the progress of works at various sites and also apprised the concerned agency and government contractor for continuous monitoring and hard work.
He also expressed his satisfaction on seeing the plenty of spring water at Chakongma the main charging source of water supply for Padum Town and its adjacent villages under JJM.
EC Tashi instructed the agency and contractor to expedite the work so that shortage of potable water in the town may reduce to some extent during the harsh winter season.
On the way back, he also inspected the ongoing restoration and renovation site of Dukhang at Stakrimo Monastery and inspected the quality of work being undertaken at the site.
