EC Tashi Namgyal attends breeders camp at Markha village



Leh, June 12: Executive Councillor, Sheep/Animal Husbandry, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee attended a breeders camp at Markha village on June 11.


Councillor Sku-Markha, Sonam Nurboo along with District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO), Leh, Dr Tundup Namgail and Block Officer, Sheep Husbandry Department, Tsewang Yangjor attended the function.


The breeders camp focused on the revival of sheep/goat rearing through community Rarzee system, KCC loans for livestock rearers and promotion of community and collaborative livestock insurance systems.


A new office and clinic space constructed under the District plan was also inaugurated.


Moreover, a commitment was made to further improve the facilities and veterinary services in the Sku-Markha region.
