GDC Drass organizes exposure tour for students

Kargil, March 4, 2023: Government Degree College, Drass and its cultural committee today organized an exposure tour for the students under the supervision of Principal, Dr Amjad Ali Abassi.

The exposure tour was organized in view of the Vibrant Village Program wherein development programs are being undertaken and its infrastructure taken up in border villages of UT Ladakh.

In this regard, students of VI Semester went to Kaksar (a border village) along with Faculty in-charge Jigmet Sangyas, Assistant Professor, Political Science and Dr Azram Tahoor Assistant Professor, Environmental Science.

The students were divided into two groups with faculty incharge and interacted with people of village concerning different developmental schemes undertaken by the government in the border village.

The students asked questions, particularly on education, basic amenities, sanitation, and health-aid facilities present in the village.

Both the student groups surveyed Health and Wellness Centre (HWC), Anganwadi Office, Community Library, school and in due time a final report will be submitted to the college.
