GDC Drass organizes Table Tennis Tournament

Kargil April 06, 2023: As part of G20/Y20 program, Department of Physical Education and Sports, Government Degree College Drass today organized a Table Tennis Competition for its students under the theme β€œBreaking Barriers Inspiring Greatness.”

The tournament started with briefing by Mustafa Ali, College Director of Physical Education and Sports who spoke about the rules and regulations of the game.

Four teams that participated in the event include Manman Top, Batra Top, Tiger Hill and Tololing teams. The competition includes Boys Double/Single and Girls Double/Single matches.

The final match of girls single was played between Tololing and Batra Top in which Batra Top emerged as winner. Whereas, in the final match of Girls Double, which was played between Batra Top and Manman Top, Batra Top team won the final.

In the final match of Boys Double, Tiger Hill and Batra Top clashed with each other and Tiger Hill team emerged as the winner. Likewise, the final match of Boys Single was played between Tololing and Tiger Hill teams which was won by Tololing.

College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Mustafa Ali congratulated the winners and encouraged students to actively participate in such events. He also ensured to organize such type of sports events in future as well. The winners were felicitated with certificates.

The program was concluded with a vote of thanks by Assistant Professor, Urdu, Dr Masrat Hamzah Lone.
