GDC Kargil celebrates Independence Day with great enthusiasm
KARGIL, AUGUST 15, 2022:
With rest of the national Government Degree College Kargil today celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm.
The day was celebrated as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which has been observed and commemorated as 75 years of Independence and India’s glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
The celebrations started early in the morning in the college campus wherein the national tricolour was unfurled by chief guest of the occasion, Principal GDC Kargil, Dr Amina Qari in presence of staff, students, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers.
The hoisting of flag was followed by the national anthem. Dr Amina on the occasion threw light on the significance of the day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
In her address to the attendees, she emphasized upon the importance of the great day which envisages the birth of a free nation.
Dr Amina asserted that it is the obligation of each and every citizen to safeguard freedom
