GDC Kargil Hosts GDC Khalsi for Skill Exposure of Sector Skill Courses

 

KARGIL, September 23, 2023 – In a collaborative effort to enhance the skill development opportunities for students, Government Degree College Kargil welcomed Government Degree College Khalsi for a day of skill exposure and cultural exchange. The event, held on September 21, 2023, aimed to provide insights and hands-on experience in sector skill courses, including Graphic Designing, Yoga Instruction, Hand Embroidery, and Housekeeping.

 

Principal of Government Degree College Kargil, Dr. Amina Qari expressed her enthusiasm for this initiative, stating, “We believe that skill development is an essential aspect of education and the student of Khaltsi college should also opt for these courses. I hope this skill exposure tour of GDC Khalsi will allow students to explore a diverse range of vocational skills. It’s not just about academic excellence, but also about preparing our students for real-world opportunities.”

 

The visiting students were treated to informative sessions on various sector skill courses offered at GDC Kargil, led by experienced instructors.

 

Graphic Designing, Yoga Instruction, Hand Embroidery, and Housekeeping instructors gave a glimpse of the practical aspects of these skills. Participants actively engaged in interactive sessions, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience that can benefit them in their future careers.

 

The highlight of the day was the cultural exchange between the two colleges. Students from both colleges showcased their talents through traditional dances and song creating an atmosphere of unity and shared learning.

 

A student of GDC khaltsi gave the vote of thanks praising the hospitality and warmth of GDC Kargil.

 

This collaborative event was a resounding success, promoting skill development, cultural exchange, and camaraderie among the students of GDC Kargil and GDC Khalsi.
