GDC Nubra launches bi-annual magazine Ldumra

Leh, Sept 07: Government Degree College, Nubra launched its first edition of the bi-annual newsletter entitled Ldumra on September 05 under the chairmanship of Principal, GDC Nubra, Dr Tsewang Motup and in presence of the members of Magazine/Publication/Press Committee, faculty members and the students of the college.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Motup applauded the team members of the concerned committee for their efforts and hard work to bring out the maiden edition of the college Newsletter (Ldumra) and advised them to make it a regular feature.

He asserted that the newsletter of an educational institution is a forum to showcase the potential of the faculty and students and a medium to exhibit the various co-curricular activities that are conducted by various committees of the college during the academic session.

He further added that publication of this newsletter was possible because UT Administration provided adequate funds for such activities and expressed gratitude to Commissioner/ Secretary, Higher Education Department, UT Ladakh, Padma Angmo for her constant support.

Convenor ofMagazine/Publication/Press Committee, Dr Stanzin Namgail extended gratitude to all the members of the committee for their constant support to materialise the first edition of the newsletter and on behalf of the committee members he also assured to continue the edition.

Later on, the committee members distributed the newsletters among the college students, and staff and also dispatched a copy of it to various concerned departments of UT Ladakh.
