GHSS Barsoo, Kargil hosted Twining Schools Program

KARGIL/BARSOO, 30 AUGUST:-In a unique initiative, in order to promote shared learning among students and teachers with focus to encourage learning inside and outside the classroom.

As per Directions of Chief Education Officer (CEO)Kargil with regards to twining of schools Program ,Govt Higher Secondary School Barsoo on Tuesday hosted two schools of the zone including GHS Bartoo and GHS Taiket Barsoo.

During the course of twinning schools Program more then 80 visiting students and teachers Participated.

Principal, staff and students of Govt HSS Barsoo welcomed the students and staff of the visiting schools and shared the purpose of the visit and plan for the day.

The visiting students were visited school Library, Laboratories and ICT Lab was also concluded in the first session.

The respective Lecturers of GHSS Baroo and Lab Assistants, Library and ICT Lab Incharges briefed the visiting students about the various innovative practices in their domains, and displayed experiments for the benefit of students.

The visiting students who were also joined by the secondary school level students of the hosts school were divided into four categories,each of which were led by a host
school teacher, who were seen leading the students turn wise.

The observation session was followed by a puzzle solving competition and Naat competition.

The various teams were formed through intermingling of visiting and host school students with the object of achieving optimal interaction among host and visiting students .

The afternoon session witnessed a sports
competition, which included two football matches, each between boys and a girls teams and a kho kho match between three girls team. The entire activities were carried out in a befriended environment, and was aimed at encouraging a sense of fraternity and cooperation between the host and guest schools.

Principal of Govt Higher Secondary School Barsoo, GM Khan and Incharges of visiting schools also addressed the students and impressed upon the significance of partnership among schools.

He urged everyone to participate in this unique initiative wholeheartedly

Later the prize distribution distributed to the winners and best performers.
