Hajj Committee Ladakh conducts training program for Hajj Pilgrims of 2024

 

Kargil, April 17, 2024: The Hajj Committee of Ladakh on Tuesday organized an orientation/training program for selected Hajj pilgrims from Kargil district for the year 2024 at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.

 

Chairman Hajj Committee of Ladakh, Ali Majaz extended a warm welcome to all guests with traditional khataq and congratulated all the Hajj pilgrims.

 

He highlighted the achievements of Hajj Committee Ladakh in facilitating the Hajj pilgrimage process and thanked all expert trainers from Hajj Committee Ladakh and UT Administration for their dedication.

 

It was revealed that a total of 357 applications were submitted from Ladakh for Hajj Pilgrimage 2023 and 340 applications were approved by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the Nodal Ministry overseeing the Hajj pilgrimage in India.

 

Consultant Anaesthesia, Dr Abass shared his experience from the previous year’s pilgrimage, emphasizing important medical issues and advising pilgrims, especially those with comorbidities, to carry their medicines.

 

ADC, Kargil, Suhail Ahmed, Headquarter Assistant to DC, Arifa Iqbal Lone, Account Officer, Zakir Hussain, Chairman IKMT, Sheikh Sadiq Rajaei and a representative from ISK, Sheikh Asgar were present.

 

The training program was conducted by Mohd Ali, who covered various topics including vaccination, COVID-19 protocols, required medical documents, accommodation, touring, transportation, communication facilities, foreign currency exchange and security issues.

 

The Hajj Pilgrims were urged to cooperate and were briefed on the logistical aspects of the Hajj pilgrimage. The scholars gave detailed guidance on religious rituals to be observed at different important religious sites.

 

Additionally, officials from SBI Kargil and J&K Bank delivered presentations on banking transactions and online banking security issues.
