Health and awareness camp organized by Livestock Development Officer in Zanskar

Kargil, July 04, 2024: Livestock Development Officer Zanskar as per the directions of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kargil, Dr Gulzar Hussain organized a health cum awareness camp/ outreach programme at Sani Village of Zanskar on Wednesday to aware the general public/farmers about different livestock disease, livestock management and departmental schemes.

Numberdar Sani, Self Help Group members and many progressive farmers were present during the awareness camp.

The program was aimed to provide essential health care services to animals and create awareness among the farmers about different departmental schemes like NADCP and KCC etc., management of livestock and different livestock diseases like FMD and brucellosis etc.

It also aimed to encourage the SHG members to boost economy of livestock breeder’s and as promised by the Director ASH&F UT Ladakh during his recent visit to Zanskar to issue two set of carpet looms and charkha and feed on free of cost were handed over to Nambardar Sani Zanskar.

It was informed that 30 bags of cattle feeds were also distributed among the progressive farmers.

The Numbardar Sani expressed gratitude to the Animal Husbandry Department Kargil for organising such camp in the villages.
