Independence Day: SDM Shakar Chiktan hoists National Flag

Kargil, August 15, 2023: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Shakar-Chiktan, Abdul Gaffar Zargar hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of 77th Independence Day followed by the National Anthem at Shagaran Polo Ground, Chiktan.

He hoisted the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute of marching contingents, including the government schools and private schools.

In his speech, he briefed about the developmental activities and said various developmental projects are underway in the Sub Division which will boost the development scenario.

Zargar extended warm greetings to the people and paid rich tributes to heroes and soldiers who laid down their lives to secure the freedom for the country.

At the outset, colorful cultural programmes were presented by students, representing different schools of the sub-division, besides the Martial Arts demonstration.

A huge gathering of guests were present on the occasion including all Sub Division Officers, Army Officers, PRIs and villagers. As part of the program, the SDM felicitated the students, officers/officials for their outstanding performance in the Sub-Division.

Later, the SDM greeted people, Army Officials, Sarpanchs, Panchs, VECs and students on Independence Day. He also thanked all Sub Divisional officers, and officials for making the event successful.
