Inter-District State-Level Sports Tournament Held in Kargil; 146 Players Participate

Kargil, October 30, 2026: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, UT Ladakh, organised an Inter-District State-Level Tournament at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Biamathang, Kargil, with 146 players from Leh and Kargil districts participating in Volleyball, Handball and Table Tennis.

District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kargil, Abid Ali, attended the event as the Chief Guest, along with officers and officials of the department.

The tournament featured 90 players in Volleyball, 48 in Handball and eight in Table Tennis across various age groups and categories.

In the Table Tennis competition, Leh won the Under-17 Boys Singles and Doubles titles, while Kargil secured the Under-17 Girls Singles and Doubles titles.

In Handball, Kargil emerged victorious in the Under-19 Girls category, while Leh clinched the Under-19 Boys title. In Volleyball, Kargil won both the Under-17 Girls and Under-19 Girls titles.

Trophies were presented to the winners and runners-up in recognition of their performances and achievements.
