LEH, SEPTEMBER, 28 : Ladakh Power Development Department and executing agency Polaris Smart Metering Pvt Ltd conducted a Consumer awareness program at C.I.B.S Choglamsar Leh.

On occasion of MEGA LEGAL AWARENESS CAMP, Chief Guest-

Hon’ble Mr. Justice N. kotiswar singh ,Chief justice , high Court of J&K and Ladakh,Hon’ble Mr. Justice Atul Sreedharan judge , high Court of J&K and Ladakh were present.

In Awareness Program LPDD Officials Executive engineer of Leh along with AEEs ensured and demonstrated that Smart meter and normal meters both are same accurate Electricity Bill will be same as earlier bills there will be no change in bill amount. Tariff rates are also same for both meters,Smart meter eliminates inconsistency and inaccurate billing due to manual reading in conventional meters.

Smart meter gives option to Net metering (Solar meter).

Furthermore it was informed that Smart Meters are being installed free of cost in Ladakh UT.
