The Ladakh Subordinate Services Staff Selection Board (LSSSSB) achieved a major milestone today by successfully conducting its first-ever Matriculation Level Examination across the Union Territory of Ladakh. The exam was held in a smooth, transparent, and orderly manner, marking an important step forward in Ladakh’s recruitment and governance reforms.
According to officials, examination centres were set up in both Leh and Kargil districts, ensuring easy access for candidates from all regions. Adequate arrangements were made, including proper seating, biometric attendance, CCTV monitoring, and strict adherence to examination protocols to maintain fairness and transparency.
The administration deployed magistrates, supervisors, invigilators, and police personnel to ensure that the exam was conducted without disruption. Special measures were also taken for students from remote areas, many of whom travelled long distances in challenging winter conditions to participate.
A senior LSSSSB official stated that the board aims to build a merit-based, corruption-free recruitment system in Ladakh. The successful conduct of today’s exam demonstrates the board’s commitment to efficiency and accountability.
Preliminary feedback from candidates indicated satisfaction with the arrangements, question paper pattern, and overall coordination. Many expressed appreciation for the smooth conduct despite the ongoing winter season and logistical challenges.
Results of the Matriculation Level Examination are expected to be announced after the completion of the evaluation process. The LSSSSB is also preparing to conduct more recruitment examinations in the coming months as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen Ladakh’s administrative workforce.
