Market checking squad conducts inspection in Kargil market

 

Kargil, March 28, 2024: On the direction of District Administration, the Market Checking Squad Kargil today inspected Kargil market, particularly focusing on ensuring adherence to food safety standards in view of Ramadan and opening of Zojila Pass.

 

The inspection mainly focused on addressing violations of rate lists and promoting hygiene practices within the fruits and vegetables market in the district.

 

The inspection was carried out by a dedicated team led by Additional Director FS&CA, Khanzada Muhammad Usman and Naib Tehsildar Kargil, designated officer for Food Safety, Nayeem Ahmad Lone.

 

Additionally, representatives from various departments including Kargil Police, Municipal Committee (MC) and Legal Metrology Department, officers and staff, actively participated in the inspection. The inspection was aimed to ensure safety and well-being of consumers.

 

Officials said by enforcing food safety standards, the authorities aim to promote a healthier and safer environment for the general public in Kargil.
