National Sports Day held at Indoor Stadium Kargil
KARGIL, August 29, 2022: District Youth Services and Sports Department Kargil celebrated National Sports Day at Indoor Stadium Kargil today.
Executive Councilor Works, LAHDC Kargil, Mubarak Shah Nagvi was the chief guest. Staff members of the sports department Kargil and sports players were also present.
On the occasion, the EC congratulated the department for organizing the event on National Sports Day. He also congratulated players for showcasing their talent in their respective fields.
He assured that UT Administration and LAHDC Kargil is putting all efforts to develop state-of-art sports infrastructure in the district in order to push sports.
While expressing optimism, the EC works said in future more players will come out and present their skills at various national and international platforms.
EC works also appreciated the large participation of girls in sports calling it a positive sign of a developing society. In order to show their skills, earlier demo matches like boxing, stretching, taekwondo, thangta etc. were played by the players.
Later, momentos were distributed among the players and the allied departments for successfully organizing the event.
