Nine Day Usha Silai School Capacity Building program Concluded at GDC Kargil

 

A nine-day Usha Silai School Capacity Building program organized by Ladakhi Craft and Design Skill Centre Govt Degree College Kargil in collaboration with Usha International Ltd concluded today. On the occasion Ms. Kaneez Fatima Rector Kargil Campus University of Ladakh graced the event as the chief guest and Mr. Mohd Kazim Superintendent ITI Kargil was the guest of honour.

 

Ms. Kaneez Fatima in her address congratulated the entire team of Skill Center GDC Kargil and Usha International Ltd for conducting the training program for the empowerment of women folk of Kargil. She stressed on greater and active participation of women in such programs to be able to contribute for self as well as community empowerment.

Shaista Ayub State Manager Usha International Ltd while briefing about the training program said that over the course of nine days around 10 women have been trained in stitching, machine repairing and soft skills.

Dr Javed I Naqi Nodal Officer Skills appreciated the sponsor, trainers and participants for their invaluable contributions to the success of the capacity building programme. He said that higher education institutions with the support of LSDM will continue more such skill development initiatives in future to foster a stronger and more self-reliant Ladakh.

Earlier Ms. Taira Bano Assistant Professor of English presented the welcome address on behalf of the Principal of college. In her address she thanked the instructors of USHA International Limited for conducting the training program in GDC Kargil.

Later, training participation certificates were also distributed among the trainees. The event was also attended by Ms Parveen Fatima Convener Skill Courses GDC Kargil, Ms Shahar Bano Instructor ITI Kargil and Ms. Rafia Master Trainer Usha Silai School Program
