NIPUN Bharat Mission launched in Leh district

Leh, June 24: Directorate of School Education, UT Ladakh, today launched National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN Bharat) at DIET, Leh.

The main aim is to ensure that every child in the country necessarily attains foundational literacy and numeracy by the end of Grade 3, by 2026-27. Besides, it was informed that NIPUN Bharat envisages making the experience of learning at the foundational stage Holistic, Integrated, Inclusive, Enjoyable, and Engaging.

Sadiq Ali U.T Coordinator, Nipun Bharat Mission; District Coordinator, Sonam Phuntsok and Shagufta Zohra UT Coordinator, Inclusive Education gave a presentation on PPT on Nipun Bharat Mission and Vidhya Pravesh Module.

Chief Education Officer, Leh; DIET Principal; Zonal Education Officers of the various zone of Leh district and Director, 17000 ft Foundation, Sujata Sahu and her team members were present at the inaugural function.
