Ongoing training on CBSE modules concludes at DIET Leh

Leh, Oct 08: On the last day of the ongoing comprehensive training jointly organised by CBSE and School Education Department Ladakh, two training programmes viz ‘Python Basic’ for ICT Incharge (HSS/HS) by Sushil Kumar, resource person from CBSE and ‘School Library’ for Librarian/Lib I/C by K N Jha, resource person from CBSE held at DIET Leh.

The same two programmes will be held at DIET Kargil on October 09.

Speaking on the occasion, Director, Training CBSE, Ram Shankar informed that 124 schools from UT Ladakh has now joined the CBSE.

In CBSE system, the only affiliation work is not enough it’s a journey that has just begun and will require resources, commitment, discipline, punctuality, devotion, vision and will take time, added Ram Shankar.

He appreciated School Education Department Ladakh for taking initiatives in this regard in a very short span of time. On the other hand, CBSE also have to understand the problems, challenges, and requirements of UT Ladakh. He assured that Regional Office Chandigarh/ Centre of Excellence(COE) will always extend support.

He also requested all the participants to visit the CBSE portal on daily basis, go through the National Education Policy-2020 document drafts thoroughly and informed that all the CBSE resources are available on its web portal and one should make a list of them and use them when required and to update them professionally. He instructed them to use ICT and take it the next level and that CBSE has already done lots of work in this regard.

Director, School Education Ladakh, Dr Safdar Ali thanked CBSE for all the support during the transitional stage to CBSE system and for this comprehensive training programme.

Chief Education Officer Leh, S D Namgail; and Principal, DIET Leh, Chetan Dorjai were also present on the concluding day of the said training programme.
