Rajnath Singh Inaugurates 22 Key BRO Infrastructure Projects in J&K

New Delhi/Jammu, Dec 7: In a major boost to connectivity and strategic preparedness, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today inaugurated 22 vital infrastructure projects executed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across Jammu & Kashmir. These projects, comprising roads, bridges and other strategic assets, mark a significant step in enhancing border area development.

Expressing appreciation for the initiative, several leaders extended their gratitude to the Defence Minister for the timely execution of these crucial works. They also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritising border infrastructure and ensuring that remote regions receive long-awaited developmental attention.

The newly inaugurated projects are expected to improve mobility for local residents, strengthen defence logistics, and contribute to the socio-economic upliftment of border communities. With improved road connectivity, remote villages will now have better access to essential services, trade opportunities, and emergency support.

The Prime Minister’s continued focus on border development has been widely acknowledged for transforming once-isolated regions into zones of opportunity, stability, and growth. Today’s inauguration further reinforces the government’s commitment to accelerating progress in frontier areas.

Officials of the BRO stated that the projects have been designed to meet both strategic needs and civilian requirements, ensuring long-term benefits for the region.
