Soil collection under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ held in Pashkum

 

Kargil, Sep 22, 2023: District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Kargil, Padma Angmo today in presence BDO Pushkum, Panchayat Instructor Ali Akbar, Sarpanch Pushkum B, Panchs, RD&PRD Officials NYK volunteers and locals collected soil from different households as part of the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign launched by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

 

The event was organized to instill a sense of pride in the country. A pledge taking ceremony was also conducted under the banner of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’. The event reinforced the idea that the bond between the land and the country is one that should be cherished and protected by everyone.

 

Also the soil was collected in Kalash from all households of Pushkum village. This soil will then be poured into large Kalash thus bringing together symbolically the offering from all households in the neighbourhood of that event location.
