State Transport Authority Ladakh meets to review rates of contract and stage carriages
Leh, Sep 1: The Secretary, Transport Department, (Chairman, State Transport Authority, STA) Ladakh, Saugat Biswas, today, chaired a meeting of State Transport Authority at the UT Secretariat.
Discussion on varied issues such as policy on Rent a Bike Scheme, permit regulations, fare fixation for contract carriage, fare calculation for premium segment, medium segment and fare fixation for stage carriage was held during the meeting.
Secretary Biswas informed that the State Transport Authority (STA) will revise the fares of contract and stage carriage, vehicles for Ladakh.
Biswas added that the last revision in contract and stage carriage fares was done in 2018 and added that they have decided to hike in the fares of contract and stage carriages as per the special requirement of Ladakh and the proposed hikes will be put up to the administration for approval.
