By Leh, September 29: Subsidised single-engine helicopter services have resumed across the Union Territory of Ladakh from Tuesday, with operations being undertaken by Pawan Hans Limited under a wet lease agreement, with support from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The services are aimed at improving air connectivity to remote areas, facilitating the movement of residents and tourists, and supporting emergency medical requirements.
The notified subsidised fares are:
• Leh–Kargil: ₹7,750 | 50 minutes
• Leh–Padum: ₹6,975 | 45 minutes
• Leh–Turtuk: ₹6,190 | 40 minutes
• Leh–Lingshad: ₹4,650 | 30 minutes
• Leh–Dibling: ₹4,650 | 30 minutes
• Leh–Nyerak: ₹4,650 | 30 minutes
• Leh–Diskit: ₹4,650 | 30 minutes
District administrations have been directed to ensure operational readiness of helipads and provide logistical and coordination support.
