Traffic Advisory By District Traffic Police Kargil.

In view of the mourning processions to be taken out on 13-04-2023, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali (A.S), the following traffic diversions/restrictions have been put in place from 1300 hrs to 1530 hrs for smooth and hassle-free traffic regulations.

 

1) New bus stand, new taxi stand, Eco stand (not on the circular roadside), 407 and 207 stand has been designated as parking place for the general public and for the devotees coming to join the processions.

 

2) The general public is advised to park their vehicles in the designated parking places only.

 

3) No vehicle shall be parked along the roadside, if found shall be towed and seized.

 

4) Travellers intending to go towards Drass shall use the bye-pass route instead of the Kargil Bazar route.

 

5) All the traffic coming from the Shilikchay side shall use the circular road. (they shall not be allowed to use Poyen- Degree College road.)

 

6) All the traffic coming from the petrol pump and Baroo side shall use the Degree College- Poyen route.

 

7) Traffic movement on the degree college- Poyen route shall be one-way and traffic shall only be allowed from the degree college side towards Poyen, this route shall be strictly one-way.

 

8) Traffic movement on the Poyen-bye pass route shall be strictly one-way and traffic shall only be allowed from Poyen towards Byepass.

 

We encourage the general public to follow this advisory for smooth and hassle-free traffic regulation. Please cooperate with the Traffic Police Ladakh (unit Kargil) and help us in ensuring smooth and hassle-free traffic movement.
