UT Administration Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusive Development Across Ladakh: LG Kavinder Gupta

Kargil, December 25:

Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, reiterated the Union Territory Administration’s firm commitment to ensuring equitable and inclusive development across Ladakh, with special emphasis on remote, far-flung, and border areas. He stressed that development should not remain limited to urban centers but must reach even the most difficult and inaccessible regions so that every citizen benefits from progress and an improved quality of life.

The Lieutenant Governor made these remarks while addressing a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Shakar–Chiktan, where he interacted with the local residents and patiently listened to their grievances, demands, and suggestions regarding development and public welfare. Representatives from sixteen villages participated in the camp and highlighted key issues related to the sub-division.

Highlighting the importance of direct engagement between the administration and the public, the LG said such interactions strengthen trust, help understand ground realities, and enable better policy implementation. He assured the residents that their concerns would be examined thoroughly and necessary directions would be issued to the concerned departments for timely redressal.

Reflecting on Ladakh’s journey since becoming a Union Territory in 2019, Shri Kavinder Gupta said the pace of development has significantly accelerated, with the administration consistently advancing welfare and infrastructure initiatives. He also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing Ladakh’s holistic development and supporting transformative growth in the region.

Acknowledging the contribution of the people of Kargil, especially those residing in border areas, the Lieutenant Governor praised their resilience, patriotism, and unwavering support to the nation during challenging times, calling their courage and sacrifices a source of great inspiration.
