2-day school safety program begins at JNV Kargil

KARGIL, AUGUST 22, 2022:

A two-day school safety program started today at Jawaha Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Khumbathang, Kargil in which 13th Bn NDRF, Ludhiana imparted training on basic Disaster Management to teaching, non-teaching and students of the JNV.

The program is being conducted by 13th Bn NDRF, Ludhiana in collaboration with DDMA Kargil and JNV Khumbathang Kargil.

During the program, teaching and non-teaching staff were given full training on how to prepare and implement a school safety plan for the school.

After this training on emergency evacuation, methods of lifting victims and usage of fire extinguishers were imparted to participants by master trainer Hawalder Pawan Kumar and his team.

Assistant Commandant, 13th Bn NDRF Ranjeet Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, Principal JNV Kargil besides teaching, non-teaching staff of JNV, DDMA officials, more than 400 students also attended the program.

Principal JNV has appreciated 13th Bn. NDRF Ludhiana and Chairman DDMA (Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil) for organizing such important training at their school.
