Leh, May 29: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 124 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 102 reports were received by CMO Leh and 22 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil. While, a total of 1866 sample reports in UT Ladakh; Leh: 1298 and Kargil: 568, were found negative.

UT Ladakh reports the death of two patients from Covid-19 yesterday; one each in Leh and Kargil districts. The total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 187; 136 in Leh and 51 in Kargil.

The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 172 patients yesterday. Out of which 159 patients were discharged by CMO Leh and 13 patients were discharged by CMO Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 1606; 1380 in Leh district and 226 in Kargil district.

The bulletin further informs that 389 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 111 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltse check post yesterday and 158 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Upshi check post.
