DC Kargil visits Rangdum, Parkachik

Takes stock of grievances, issues of locals, assures resolution of land issues at earliest possible

In order to take on spot appraisal of the grievances, issues and developmental needs of the people of Tai Suru Block, District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve along with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kargil Anayat Ali Choudhary visited Rangdum and Parkachik areas here on Wednesday.

Additional District Commissioner (ADC), Kargil Tsering Motup, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sankoo Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, Executive Engineer SVD Sankoo Shabir Hussain, Tehsildar Tai Suru Sajjad Hussain, SHO Kargil Manzoor Hussain Khan besides other concerned officers accompanied the DC and SSP during the tour.

The Deputy Commissioner along with the SSP Kargil took brief from the concerned officers and the local people about the grazing land issues between Parkachik and Rangdum.

After giving a patient hearing to various issues raised by the local people, DC Santosh Sukhadeve assured the people of Rangdum that he will personally go through all the available documents dating back from the royal decree of the king, land revenue records, traditional rights of nomadic community and all requisite steps will be taken to resolve the land issues on priority basis at the earliest possible.

DC Santosh Sukhadeve also assured people of both villages that after going through all the documents and proper consultation with the Revenue Department, a meeting will be soon held with the heads of both the villages so as to carve out reasonable and viable solution to resolve the land issues.

The Deputy Commissioner and the SSP urged the local people at Parkachik and Rangdum areas to play proactive role for maintaining the age old communal harmony and brotherhood between the communities which is the main pre-requisite for peace, progress and prosperity.

The Deputy Commissioner also assured that no illegal construction will be allowed on the NH-301 without the permission from the District Administration. He assured the people of Rangdum that nobody will be allowed do illegal construction in any form.

Meanwhile, the SSP Kargil urged people of both the villages to maintain the law and order to maintain peace and tranquility, adding he said that strict action will be taken against those found indulging in any unlawful activities.
