Leh, Nov 14: Children’s Day and the culmination of Swachhta Pakhwada week was organised at the Community Hall Ibex Colony by the officials of the Child Protection Services, UT Ladakh on November 14, 2021.
The event was graced by Goba, Ibex Colony, 75 children, Chairperson & members of Child Welfare Committee, Memeber of Juvenile Justice Board, staff of District Child Protection Unit and community members.
The officials and members of the Child Protection Services talked about the importance of the statutory rights and protection available to the children and stressed the importance of making Children aware of the legal and Constitutional safeguards available to them against various physical and mental challenges.
In addition, Children was informed about the necessity of maintaining proper health and hygiene especially during COVID. A painting competition on health and hygiene was thrown open thereafter. Children were provided with refreshments, painting essentials, marks and sanitisers.
The event concluded with prize distribution, dance and lunch organised for the guests by the officials of the Child Protection Services, UT Ladakh.
