BHC&RC Organized Multi Disciplinary Disability Assessment Camp In Kargil Ladakh

Baqirya Health Care and Research Centre Kargil organised Multi disciplinary disability assessment and rehabilitation camp at Baqirya Complex Biamathang Kargil in collaboration voluntary Medicare society

Chairman & Chief ExecutCouncillor LAHDC-KARGIL Shri Feroz Ahmad Khan was chief guest.

Among those Executive Councillor Aga Syed Arman, Chairman IKMT Sheikh Mohammad Sadiq Rajai, Haji Asger Ali Karblai, CDPO Kargil Syed Murtaza, Doctors Volunteers and hundreds of Children with special needs along with their parents attended the program.

 

This rehab centre was established in the year 2019 in collaboration with VMS Kashmir dedicated to care, treatment and rehabilitation of the beneficiaries.

Assistive technology devices like mobility aids are provided after proper assessment and taking community into consideration for purposeful usage and holistic development of the infant or young child in communication, thinking, and motor skills through the use of intervention techniques like neuro-development treatment, etc. Till date 284 specially abled children are registered with a success story of 25 to 30 specially abled children who receive physio,speech and cognitive therapy. Prof Nassir Shabani briefly explained the post Hepatitis mission situation and the financial aspects.

 

Dr Zakia physiotherapist briefed the latest update of rehabilitation center.

While Dr Ahmad advisor highlighted the upcoming activities and modernization and usage of technology for the specially abled children.

Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai encouraged parents and community participation in such Programme.

 

Syed Arman Executive councillor tributes sura Fatiha to the founder and Patron of IKMT late shiekh Hussain Zakiri for his grand vision of establishment of such organisation in the interest of society. In the encouraging speech by the Chief Guest CEC Sh Feroz Khan who stressed the general public to negate the social stigma regarding these specially abled children and help them to build a healthy society.

He appreciated and applauded the activities and the volunteerism carried out time and again by the members of Baqirya health care and Research Centre for the last over one decade and congratulated the team for their endeavours.

He assured for support from LAHDC.

Locomotive and hearing aids were distributed among the needy beneficiaries by the guests and ended with a word of thanks and dua by the chairman IKMT jinab Sheikh Sadiq Rajai.
