5 Day All India Painting Camp and National Art Exhibition 2021 by District Administration, LAACL Kargil, Spandan concludes in Kargil
KARGIL, OCTOBER 07, 2021: 5 Day All India Painting Camp and National Art Exhibition 2021 by District Administration and Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (LAACL) in collaboration with Spandan Global Art and Cultural Foundation Goa concluded at Tourist Facilitation Center (TFC) Biamathang here today.
Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor,LAHDC,Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan was the chief guest on the occasion while the Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Tsering Motup was the guest of honor on the occasion.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, President Spandan Global Art and Culture Foundation Anant Vikas Jain, Principal Government Degree College Kargil Dr Ameena Qari, National Best Teacher Awardee Muhammad Ali Akhone and artists from different parts of the country including those from Leh and Kargil districts were present on the occasion.
CEC Feroz Khan in his address congratulated the Spandan Global Art and Culture Foundation and Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (LAACL) for providing the local artists suitable platform and to manifest their talent, adding he stated that the event has enabled local artists to learn new techniques and expertise in visual and other related arts.
The CEC emphasised on development of human resources along with other aspects of development by providing different skills in arts, science and techniques to the younger generation and said that holding of such events are the ideal platform towards achieving this goal. He assured to extend all out support to the organizations that aspire to hold any type of such events in the district in coming times.
Making mention of the miltiethnic culture and traditions and natural beauty of the place and the unflinching loyalty of the people of Kargil towards the country, CEC Khan urged the artists from different parts of the country to work as ambassadors to spread this message far and wide.
President Spandan Anant Vikas Jain while speaking on the occasion said that similar events have been conducted by the organization in all states and UTs across the country.
While appreciating the students who took part in the painting camp, he said that the artists showed seriousness and enthusiasm throughout the camp. In a bit to provide ample opportunities to the local artists, he assured to provide opportunity for local artists from Kargil to participate in their events in India and abroad in future.
Anant Jain further urged schools in Kargil to take part in national level events in collaboration with the Spandan Foundation. He announced that online classes will continue to keep the students in touch with painting and other related arts.
On the occasion, Neena Singh and Raj Balram were presented Spandan National Award for Excellence in Arts while Monita Dhingra and Dhanish RS were conferred with Spaldan Artist of the Year Award.
Spaldan Social Creative Award was also presented to Muhammad Ali Akhone and Kacho Ahmad Khan NDite and Director Ranthag Theatre Group Kargil.
Earlier, Deputy Secretary Culture Kargil Nazir Hussain during the welcome speech spoke about the aims and objectives of the 5 day long artists camp.
Noted scholar and cultural activist Ajaz Hussain Munshi conducted the proceedings of the concluding function while Special Officer for Cultural Activities Kargil Muhammad Ali Tak delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
Local artists and singers presented colorful cultural performances on the occasion and entertained the audience.
