By 9th Moharram observes in Kargil with religious gaiety

To pay rich tributes to the Grandson of Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Imam Hussain, Muslims across Kargil District on Thrusday carried out Ninth Muhurram procession.
In Kargil town mourners assembled from adjacent villages beating chests and lamenting on Imam Hussain and his companions in the land of Karbala.
The procession marched through Main Bazar Kargil and culminated at Hussaini Park and Islamia School premises where the mourning assembly was held later.
In Drass, Sankoo, Suru, Wakha and other places of Kargil District also the Ninth Muharram processions were carried out with mourners paying rich tributes to the great sacrifices of Imam Hussain and his holy household in the desert of Karbala for the sake of Islam and humanity.
Meanwhile sufficient arrangements were made by district administration to facilitate the Muharram processions in a smooth way.
