3 days residential training programme for school students 2O21 concludes in Kargil

As a part of the series of events being held under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Executive Councillor for Works Aga Syed Abbas Razvi and Executive Councillor for Zanskar Affairs Er Phunsok Tashi attended the concluding event of the three days residential training programme for school students as a part of Wildlife Week, 2021 which was held at Auditorium Hall here today.
The training programme was organised by the Wildlife Protection Division Kargil, Education Department Kargil and Ladakh Ecological Development Group.
Students from over 10 schools from across the district participated in the three days long residential training programme where they were trained in various activities like yoga, singing, dance, arts and craft etc.
Speaking on the occasion, EC Phunsok Tashi appreciated the three organizations for holding such a colorful programme on a common platform.
The EC also mentioned about global warming and environmental challenges that are posing a challenge especially in the Himalayan Region. He further appreciated the Education Department and teachers for educating the children on such a critical issue.
Speaking on the occasion, Wildlife Warden Kargil Raza Ali urged the students and participants to contribute their bit to protect the wildlife.
Meanwhile, the participating students presented a colorful programme related to protection and conservation of wildlife. They also held an exhibition of local arts and craft, artifacts and products made of waste materials.
The students also presented a ramp show showcasing the ethnic attire.
