KARGIL, APRIL 17, 2022: Under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a Gram Sabha was held today at Panchayat Halqa Sapi in Kargil Block as part of the iconic week in which 9 main themes of Sustainable Development Goals were elaborated to people in Gram Sabha.
The event was attended by all section of the society. People of the panchayat also focused on two main themes which are very important for the panchayat.
Chairperson Nawang Sarpanch of Sapi concluded the Gram Sabha while representatives of the department were also present.
The iconic week celebrations were also successfully conducted at Tungri panchayat in Karsha Block Zanskar where the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) addressed the Gram Sabha on SDGs, particularly on the prioritized theme.
The officials on the occasion thanked the BDO for taking keen interest in making iconic week celebrations successful.
Pertinently, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department (RD&PRD) observed the iconic week from April 11 to April 17, 2022, in all the 98 Gram Panchayats of Kargil district for localization and prioritization of SDGs related themes.
