Animal Husbandry Dept. Kargil organizes awareness camp at TSG block
KARGIL, AUGUST 06, 2022: As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and under the banner of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, the Animal Husbandry Department Kargil today organized an awareness camp at AVO office TSG block.
People including members of Panchayat Raj Institutions of Trespone block, Naib Tehsildar and farming community of the block was invited.
The program started with awareness about benefits of scientific artificial insemination, scientific poultry rearing and management followed by awareness on benefits of timely vaccination of animal against FMD and brucellosis.
The farmers and the attendees were apprised about the adverse effect of the diseases on livestock health including the health risks posed by brucellosis to human health.
During the program, awareness was also given on the significance of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign 2022. The invited guests, farmers and department employees made a commitment to hoist the national flag on government offices and homes from August 13 to 15.
To facilitate proper nutrition to calf born from AI procedures in the block, 15 bags of free cattle feed was distributed amongst owners of cows that had AI-assisted newborn calves.
